Boating and Service Internship

Upper School parent, Brad Lessler, organized this group Internship with his daughter Allena. This boating adventure has been designed around water and nature on the Outer Banks at Cape Lookout National Seashore. This week, the group is involved in service work around Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout Village. They will also enjoy 2 days of hands-on boating experience.

Hard working group.  The National Park Service coordinator was very pleased!
Our students disassembled over 300 feet of rusting horse corrals that were a hazard to
the horses.  The weather couldn't have been more perfect, everyone was in
great spirits, and no injuries.

More to come about other Internship experiences as Jon Lepofsky visits and interviews some of our local interns.
